Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj had a similar Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in terms of performances. While the former RCB skipper was miserable with the bat, Siraj went for a lot of runs in the 15th season.

Siraj has time and again acknowledged Virat’s contribution to his career. Kohli supported the fast bowler when his father passed away before India’s first Test in Australia. Meanwhile, in his most recent interview, Siraj has backed the 33-year-old to come good with the bat.

Kohli has not scored a century in the last three years, and his struggles are well documented.

“As I said, there are ups and downs in everyone’s life. He (Virat Kohli ) is “King”. He can bounce back anytime. He will score runs in crucial situations,” he told the Times of India.

In 16 matches, Virat amassed 341 runs at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.98. He registered three golden ducks as well.

On the other hand, Siraj took 9 wickets in 15 matches and conceded runs at an economy of 10.07. The two will be seen in action in a one-off Test in England.
