Former India captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 18 runs in the 2nd ODI against the West Indies. The 33-year old has not scored a century for more than two years.
Aakash Chopra is unable to understand what is happening with the right-handed batter. Chopra also added that he is not comparing Virat to his special days and reckons that it is better to measure him with the normal yardstick used to measure all the other batters in cricket.
“What is happening with Virat? He didn’t score runs again. I mean, I am not able to understand the issue with him. He pays a huge price for his success because he is a special player, but at the moment, you are not measuring him with a special yardstick but the normal one,” said Chopra while speaking on his YouTube channel.
Chopra further added that things are not happening for the 33-year old at the moment, and he looked in a hurry to score runs. Adding that every batter will go through when the runs are not coming. He concluded by saying that Kohli is going through a lean patch.
