Former India skipper Virat Kohli scored his 64th ODI half-century in the third and last match of the series against South Africa in Cape Town. The 33-year-old dedicated his half-century to daughter Vamika who was present in the stands.
Kohli took 63 balls to reach his second fifty of the ODI series. After he touched the mark, the camera panned towards Anushka, who was standing in the stands while Vamika was in her arms and Virat dedicated his innings to their daughter.
It was for the first time that Vamika’s face was revealed as Virat and Anushka had urged the media to respect the privacy of their kid. Meanwhile, Kohli was dismissed on a score of 65 by Keshav Maharaj.
He last scored international hundred in 2019. The veteran recently stepped down from Test captaincy after a series defeat against the Proteas.
