Former India head coach Ravi Shastri said that Virat Kohli will not be able to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket as it is not easy. However, he said Virat can play for another five to six years.
The 34-year-old has represented India in 108 Tests, 274 ODIs, and 115 T20Is. The veteran has hit 75 tons in his career.
“Only one player has scored 100 centuries in international cricket. It will not be easy for Virat Kohli. He can play cricket for many more years because he is fit,” he said.
He admitted that breaking the record for Kohli would be tough.
“It is not easy, and that is why only Sachin Tendulkar has registered it,” he added.
Virat recently played in the ODI series between India and Australia. He scored a fifty in the third one-day international, but the Men in Blue lost the game by 21 runs.
