Former captain Virat Kohli took to social media and posted a cryptic message on Saturday, 16 July. Amid his ordinary run in international cricket, Virat has been criticised. The 33-year-old posted a famous social media quote, “What if I fall? Oh but my darling, what if you fly?”
In the image’s caption, Kohli wrote perspective, signifying that he is still backing up his process.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been backing Kohli and said that the veteran needs a good support system. Kohli has also found words of encouragement from Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, who posted a message for the Indian star.
Kohli’s form has become a cause of concern for the team. He has been slammed for missing a lot of international games. Former Indian players Irfan Pathan and Venkatesh Prasad have said resting is not the solution.
A section of fans has also questioned the idea of giving a break to Virat just ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. India are scheduled to play West Indies next. Shikhar Dhawan will be leading India in the ODIs, before Rohit returns for the T20I series.
