Virat Kohli has been India's backbone in the ICC T20 World Cup.

India were sensational in the second T20I against South Africa. The hosts recorded 237/3 in 20 overs with Suryakumar Yadav leading the batting charts.

Former India captain Virat Kohli registered another unique record in the shortest format of the game. Batting first, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave a blistering start to the team with both adding 96 in 9.5 overs.

While Rahul was dismissed after scoring 57, Rohit struck 43. However, there was no relief for the visitors. SKY hit 61 off just 22 balls while Kohli remained not out on 49 off 28 deliveries.

Dinesh Karthik, who took the strike in the 19th over, was unbeaten on 17 off just 7 balls.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is the first Indian to score a run short of fifty more than once in men’s T20Is.
