Former India player and the current president of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly, has reacted to his comparison with Virat Kohli.

Sourav Ganguly has reacted to Virat Kohli’s form and performance of other players. He said former India captain is an important part of the team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

He is hoping that Virat will score runs in Australia. The 33-year-old ended his century drought in the Super 4 stage match of the Asia Cup 2022 against Afghanistan.

The batter opened the innings in the absence of Rohit Sharma and accumulated an unbeaten 122 off 61 balls, laced with 12 fours and 6 sixes.

“India will travel to Australia some weeks before the ICC T20 World Cup. I am hopeful they will perform well as they are prepared enough for the tournament.

“Virat is an important part of the team but other players will also have to contribute. Team India has to do well. Virat, Rohit, Rahul, Hardik and others have to be among performers. It is very good news that Virat is back in form. I hope it will continue,” Ganguly told India Today.
