Rohit Sharma made a big comment on the leadership qualities of Jasprit Bumrah.

Rohit Sharma was full of praise for Virat Kohli, who scored a fifty during the important phase of the match. India lost Ishan Kishan early in the innings and Rohit was struggling to time the ball.

It was Virat, who played shots from the moment he came out to bat in the second T20I against the West Indies. He amassed 52 off 41 runs and contributed m India’s win by 8 runs.

When captain Rohit was asked about Kohli’s knock, he termed it as the most important innings of the match.

“He set the tempo of the match and made me comfortable at the crease. We didn’t start well but Virat played his shots during the important phase of the match. I think he played the most important knock of the match,” said Rohit.

The 34-year old also mentioned about Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer’s contributions. “They both were outstanding and have shown considerable improvement in the recent times,” he added.

While Rishabh added an unbeaten 52 off 28 balls, Iyer accumulated 33 off 18 balls. The Men in Blue scored 186/5 in 20 overs. Chasing 187 runs, Windies fell short despite Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell’s sensational batting.
