Defending champions England arrived in India on September 29 for the ICC World Cup 2023 which begins on October 5. The Three Lions will take on New Zealand in a repeat of the 2019 World Cup final in the opening game of the forthcoming tournament. Before that, they will play two warm-up games, the first one against India in Guwahati.
The England side did not have a great time travelling to India, as their star keeper-batter Jonny Bairstow took to Instagram to reveal that the players have been travelling for more than 38 hours. The image also revealed that England arrived in economy class and was surrounded by the fans on the flight.

On his Instagram story, Bairstow wrote, “utter chaos” and ” last leg incoming… been some trip. 38 hours and counting.”
Jos Buttler will lead England in the forthcoming World Cup. He captained the side in last year’s T20 World Cup, where they beat Pakistan in the finals. The English fans expect Buttler to replicate the same in the fifty-over format.
