Australia opener Usman Khawaja missed the team’s flight to India as he was not given a visa, Cricket Australia said.
The Pakistan-born batter is the only player in the squad who couldn’t board a flight because his visa didn’t arrive.
The star player posted a meme on social media of a man sitting on a garden chair.
“Me waiting for my Indian Visa like… #stranded #dontleaveme #standard #anytimenow.”

The Australia Cricket Board expects to get the visa later on Wednesday, and the player has a flight on Thursday.
India are hosting the four-match Test series. The 36-year-old was recently named Australia’s men’s Test Player of the Year for scoring 1,020 runs at an average of 78.46.
