Virat went to the on-field umpire Nitin Menon to discuss the matter but he was ignored by the umpire.

England defeated India by 6 wickets in the second ODI of the series on Friday to level the series 1-1. Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes led the batting line-up of the visitors as England completed the chase of 337 runs with 39 balls left in the innings. While Bairstow scored 124 off 112 balls, Stokes slammed a quickfire 99 off just 52 balls.

The duo stitched a 175-run stand for the second wicket. While Stokes was unstoppable in his innings, he survived a close run-out call in the 26th over of England’s innings.

The decision went in Stokes’ favor after the third umpire found no conclusive evidence of a run-out.

Kuldeep’s throw had hit the stumps directly with Stokes’ bat on the line but he survived as the benefit of the doubt went in his favor. After the end of the over, Virat went to the on-field umpire Nitin Menon to discuss the matter but he was ignored by the umpire. Menon later said something to Kohli before the India captain returned to his fielding position. The video has gone viral on social media.

Kohli has been at loggerheads with the umpires during the matches against England.
