On a big day for the Indian cinema, ‘RRR’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ won big at the 95th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, on Monday, March 13.
The Elephant Whisperers was declared the ‘Best Documentary Short Film’. Producer Guneet Mong and Director Kartiki Gonsalves accepted the trophy.
The documentary is about a family who adopted two orphaned baby elephants in a tiger reserve.
On the other hand, ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the ‘Best Original Song Award.’ Composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose accepted the award.
Singers Rahul Silpligunj and Kaala Bhairava performed live with lead actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
The cricket fraternity was delighted and lauded all the contributors.
