After missing the first two games of the UAE leg, Hardik Pandya, the India all-rounder, was included in the playing XI against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, he didn’t bowl and the fans were furious to see Pandya not rolling his arm over.
Earlier, the chief selector Chetan Sharma had stated that Hardik would definitely bowl in the cash-rich league and the selectors were preserving him for the T20 World Cup. Despite the assurance from the boss of the selection committee, Hardik was not given the ball in the ongoing match.
The fans were not pleased with the move and demanded the inclusion of Shardul Thakur in place of Hardik for the ICC event in the UAE.
Hardik hasn’t been a regular starter for India in recent times and the fans were surprised to see his name in the T20 World Cup squad. He has even failed in the ongoing edition of IPL.
Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur, who plays for Chennai Super Kings, has done well for India in Test cricket. He is also known for his record in the slam-bang version of the game.
