A few days after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the IPL 2021 due to a growing list of COVID-19 cases in the tournament, the Punjab Kings have shared a heart-warming video for their fans and followers on social media.
The Punjab-based franchise recently took to its official Twitter handle and posted a clip in which several PBKS players can be seen sharing their thoughts after the postponement of the 14th edition.
Captioning the post, PBKS wrote, “Till we meet again!”
The video begins with an emotional message from Shahrukh Khan, who made his IPL debut for the Punjab Kings this season.
Khan said the suspension of the league came as a bit of shock for everyone but he is hopeful of PBKS’ good performances in the next leg of the tournament.
“It was a bit of a shock for everyone when it got suspended. We are all looking forward to the next leg of the tournament which we feel is not far away. We are going to play the next leg very shortly,” the 25-year-old said in the clip.
“For all the Punjab Kings fans out there, keep supporting us. We’ll come out all guns blazing in the next leg, come out fresh and we will be there to entertain you,” he added.
PBKS were placed at the sixth position in the points table before the marquee tournament was called off.
