Sourav Ganguly has once again given a statement on the removal of Virat Kohli and appointment of Rohit Sharma as Team India’s ODI skipper. The national selection committee handed over the responsibility of the ODI captaincy to Rohit ahead of a three-match ODI series in South Africa.

Speaking to News 18, Ganguly said these thing happen and he experienced the same while leading India.

“He (Virat Kohli) has been a Great Cricketer, he has been very intense with his cricket. He has Captained for a long period of time and these things happen.Because I have captained for a long period of time, I know. Also, they wanted only one skipper in white-ball cricket,” he said.

Earlier, Ganguly was slammed by Virat’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma for making a false statement. He revealed Virat was never asked to continue as a captain in T20Is by the board when he decided to quit his role.
