Virat Kohli sacking as ODI captain
Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt took a brutal dig at BCCI for sacking Kohli as the captain.

Virat Kohli was sacked as a captain from the ODIs after he stepped down from his leadership role in T20Is. The team didn’t win any ICC trophy during his tenure. Rohit Sharma replaced him but also failed to lift a major cup. Rohit failed in the Asia Cup 2022 and the ICC T20 World Cup.

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt took a brutal dig at BCCI for sacking Kohli as the captain.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Butt slammed BCCI for removing Kohli without any valid reason.

“Why they sacked Kohli? There was no reason for that. The reason given was that he didn’t win any ICC trophy. How many captains have won the ICC trophy? Many have tried during their careers but failed. Ab jeet liye trophy. Virat was a quality captain and was not the reason behind India’s failure. Virat was fit and contributed with the bat as well,” he said.
