In his interview with Hindustan Times, he spoke about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Former wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel feels it is too early to be concerned about KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s failure against Pakistan on Sunday in the Asia Cup 2022.

KL Rahul was dismissed for a golden duck while captain Rohit Sharma managed just t 12 runs off 18 balls. Virat scored 35, but he never looked comfortable during his stay at the crease.

It was down to Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya’s heroics to ensure India won the game by five wickets.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, as quoted by News 18, Patel felt that Sharma didn’t get enough chances as powerplay as the Pakistani bowlers were on target.

“He didn’t get to face a lot of balls in the first six overs. Pakistan bowled well, as Virat faced a lot of balls. Rohit was watching from the other end,” said Parthiv.

The former wicketkeeper also said it is too early to think about the failure of the top three.

“The likes of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli haven’t had many games recently. They played after a break.”
