Wasim Akram has come out in support of Imran Khan after Pakistan President Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly on the advice of the Pakistan PM, who urged the President of Pakistan to order a fresh election. The voting on the no-confidence motion by the joint opposition was declared invalid by the assembly’s deputy speaker, giving some relief to the country’s top leader.

Former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed on Sunday said the former cricketer-turned-politician would govern Pakistan for another 15 days. “I met the Prime Minister, and I think Imran Khan will discharge his duties as a PM for another 15 days,” news agency PTI quoted Rasheed as saying.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Pakistan took a suo motu notice of the prevailing situation in the country.

Akram took to Twitter to back his former skipper and the Prime Minister of the country.

“The Game Changer #ImranKhan #Skipper #NotOutYet #Surprise,” he wrote.
