“I came to about his comments this morning. I was busy with the game and didn’t have a word with him. Shukri is close to 60 years old, and he will look at what he said,” Bavuma said.

Bavuma also highlighted Jasprit Bumrah’s bauna comment, which the Indian pacer used to mock the rival captain’s height. “Certain guys have crossed the line in the series. I am not saying that our coach didn’t cross the line, but he will think about it,” he added.

The word grovel was used by England when the West Indies arrived in the European Country for a series in 1976. The then English skipper Tony Greig had said that he wanted to make the West Indies grovel. The visitors thrashed England 5-0 in the Test series and embarrassed Greig.
