Team India
Team India will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in Sri Lanka, starting July 13.

While Virat Kohli-led Team India will stay put in England, following their defeat in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, the Shikhar Dhawan-led B team will be in Sri Lanka for a limited-overs tour, starting in July.

The BCCI recently shared a video of Team India’s new members for the Sri Lanka tour hitting the gym after getting out of quarantine. The team has been isolating in Mumbai and will leave for Sri Lanka on June 28.

The newbies of the Indian team — Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, K Gowtham, Chetan Sakriya, Nitish Rana, and Varun Chakravarthy — described their emotions on getting out of quarantine and talked about the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

“Brand “New Video” Alert. New faces, New beliefs, New energy. #TeamIndia’s talented newbies speak about their run of emotions after getting out of quarantine, hitting the gym & gearing up for the Sri Lanka series,” the BCCI captioned the video.

Devdutt Padikkal, who scored his first IPL hundred during the recently-postponed season, admitted he was feeling great to get out of quarantine. The southpaw also had a terrific run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, hammering 737 runs in seven games.

Left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya, who took 7 wickets in 7 matches for Rajasthan Royals on IPL debut, claimed that he is really excited to be part of the Team India squad for the Sri Lanka series.

Delhi and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Nitish Rana, who has also earned his maiden Team India call-up, conceded that he found the quarantine really tough. Team India will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in Sri Lanka, starting July 13.
