The Men in Blue qualified for the ‘super four’ round of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Hong Kong by 40 runs on Wednesday.
Hong Kong, on the other hand, plays Pakistan today in a do-or-die encounter. The winner of the match will qualify and play India on 4th September.
Meanwhile, the Indian group took a day off after the Hong Kong match and headed to a beach in Dubai for water sports and volleyball.
BCCI, on Friday, shared a clip on Twitter featuring the squad enjoying their time off the field.
In the video, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and others try their hands at kayaking. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal ride a water bike.
Yuzvendra Chahal appeared in the video and said, “It was our off day, so Rahul bhai thought of a fun activity and sport outside cricket. It is good fun and relaxing.”
Other than enjoying water sports, the players played beach volleyball.
Chahal added, “Everyone is excited. It is something new for everyone. Such activities help in making the bonds between players grow stronger.”
Here is the video posted by BCCI. They captioned the post, “When #TeamIndia hit 𝗨.𝗡.𝗪.𝗜.𝗡. 𝗗! Time for some surf, sand & beach volley.”
