Tom Latham won the toss and elected to bowl first in the third and final ODI of the series. Meanwhile, former India player Aakash Chopra has predicted that the Men in Blue will score 400 runs if they get a chance to bat first.
Rohit Sharma’s team posted a massive 349/8 in the first game, with Shubman Gill scoring 208 runs.
“I won’t be surprised if India score 400 runs. 200-225 runs are scored in T20s here,” he said on his YouTube Channel.
“The rivals are not playing well, and the pitch is flat. All the batters would look to improve their records,” he added.
“Nothing is on the line as it is a dead rubber. New Zealand are playing for pride. So the rate of scoring increases in such a situation.”
