India haven’t been able to win a World Cup trophy since 2011. The team has made it to the knockout stage on many occasions but has faltered at the important hurdle. The most recent case was of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, where the team made it to the semi-final in an emphatic style.
However, the sub-continent team was completely outplayed by England, who won the game by 10 wickets. Despite being a team of superstars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and many others, the squad has fallen short every time.
Meanwhile, Brett Lee has identified a player who can win a global tournament for the Asian giants. He feels Suryakumar Yadav is the man who can end India’s title drought.
“Suryakumar Yadav is one player who can win the World Cup for India. He is excellent as a batter, and I would suggest him to continue playing the way he is doing at the moment. He shouldn’t change his style and back himself,” said Lee.
“He is the player for the future. Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma shouldn’t curb his aggressive nature. The SKY would rise and could lead the team to success in years to come,” he added.
