India’s vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav downplayed captain Hardik Pandya’s shocker of a wicket comment after the team’s win by 6 wickets in the second T20I against New Zealand in Lucknow.
Suryakumar revealed that the team had a chat with Hardik and decided that they would get on with any type of wicket they get in the future.
A massive controversy started after Hardik openly slammed the curators for preparing unsuitable wickets for T20Is.
“Everything is fine, and we have decided to play on any wicket we get in the future,” he said.
“You know the situation we were in the second game in Lucknow. I have enjoyed my partnership with Hardik Pandya. The last over was tense, but we laughed after winning the game.”
Suryakumar was named the Man of the Match for his important contribution with the bat.
