After India defeated West Indies by 6 wickets in the first T20I at the Eden Gardens, Suryakumar Yadav heaped massive praise on the newly-appointed captain Rohit Sharma.

India batted with an intent during the first ODI against West Indies at the Narendra Modi stadium and going forward the Men in Blue will continue to bat in a similar way, hinted Suryakumar Yadav.

SKY said that batting first is not a big challenge for the Indian team.

“Not really. We batted well in the first match and will continue in a similar way in the remaining matches. We need to bat till the end when we bat first. The way we stitched partnerships in the second innings, I think it was perfect,” he said.

“The tempo and intensity were nice and I don’t feel we need to change anything. You just need to be safe and express yourself,” he added.

Surya has batted 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the ODIs and T20Is. “I don’t have a concern with my batting order as I am quite flexible. I am ready to follow team’s instructions.”
