Former New Zealand cricketer Scott Styris praised Suryakumar Yadav, saying he provides a little X factor compared to other batters.
Yadav has been enjoying a dream run in T20 cricket. SKY is the second-ranked player in the ICC Rankings for T20 batters.
The 31-year-old scored 76 runs in the third T20I against the West Indies. Speaking on Sports18’s daily sports news show ‘Sports Over The Top’, Styris said that he isn’t surprised by Yadav’s success while playing as an opener for India, as he feels that a good player will flourish regardless of where he is asked to play,” he said.
Styris further went on to praise Yadav’s scoring ability. “He hits the ball into funny areas, and that makes it difficult for the rival captains to defend the field. He can hit 360 degrees,” he added.
