The T20 World Cup will be played in the UAE and the Oman, and India will play with force to win the second title after victory in the inaugural edition of the event in 2007. The former Aussie spinner Brad Hogg has spoken about a player who he thinks will be a star performer for India.
Virat Kohli would be eager to win the event and he would leave no stone unturned to change his record in the ICC tournaments. Hogg feels that Yadav is one of the players to watch out for and predicted that he can win the Player of the Tournament award as well.
“I just think he is going to be the difference in this particular tournament. If he stands out and puts the bowlers off with that array of shots, I think he is going to set the tournament up for India. For me, I think Suryakumar Yadav is the man for India and I think he’s the man to watch at the T20 World Cup. I think he might be Player of the Series at the T20 World Cup. That’s a big call so far out.” Hogg said on his YouTube channel.
SKY has been impressive since making his international debut against England. The right-handed batsman has played match-winning knocks for his team in the shorter formats of the game.
“I think Suryakumar Yadav is definitely going to be in the World Cup. Virat Kohli will be opening with Rohit Sharma and you’ll have Suryakumar Yadav coming in at No. 3. I just think he’s expanded his game… the range of shots that he’s got… he’s unorthodox as well so he can play different ramp shots on both leg and offside, but he can also attack you and use his feet,” he added.
