Cricket has changed a lot over the years and fielding has become one of the most important aspects of the game. The sensational efforts on the boundary lines in stadiums are applauded by fans and cricket experts.

In the first T20I against England, Team India’s Harleen Deol pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss England’s, Amy Jones. Her effort would go down as one of the greatest catches in the history of cricket.

She was fielding at long-off when the English batswoman lofted one in the 19th over of the innings. The ball was travelling beyond the boundary, but Harleen’s presence of mind and timely jump not only prevented a certain six but also resulted in a wicket for the visitors. Amy Jones was batting on 43 off just 26 balls when she hit Shikha Pandey but Harleen’s catch resulted in her dismissal.

According to Shikha, she would call this type of catch as Harleen Catch. “Not the result we wanted but we play for moments like these!! Decided- From now on we shall call this type of catch as ‘Harleen catch’! You beauty Harleen Deol #DefyingGravity,” she wrote on Twitter.

Harleen was praised by former cricketers for her brilliant effort.
