Former India wicketkeeper-batter Saba Karim feels Virat Kohli can overcome his poor form

Virat Kohli once again chased a wide delivery, resulting in his dismissal. He went after a wide delivery in the first over after lunch on Day 4 after scoring 18 runs.

Kohli looked dejected as he made the walk back to the pavilion. Kohli’s dismissal was pretty similar to his downfall in the first innings.

Sunil Gavaskar questioned Virat’s shot selection, saying he was surprised that the 33-year old chased a wide delivery without settling his eyes after the break.

“That was a loose shot after lunch. Every batsman takes time after a break. Kohli is such an experienced batter, and maybe at the back of the mind, he was looking for a declaration. He could have let it go, it was the first ball after lunch,” said Gavaskar.

With twin failures in the Centurion Test, Kohli finishes 2021 without an international hundred.
