India star Suryakumar Yadav retained his second spot in the ICC T20I Rankings for batters.

South Africa’s legendary pacer Mkhaya Ntini has said that bowlers need to find a length and stick to it to stop Suryakumar Yadav from going for big shots in T20Is.

The India batter has become a headache for bowlers from across the globe. He has hit two consecutive fifties in the ongoing T20Is versus South Africa. In the second game, he was unstoppable as he slammed 61 off 22 balls, with the help of 5 fours and as many sixes.

Speaking on Cricinfo, Ntini said that the South African bowlers didn’t plan properly against the aggressive batter and paid the price.

He said that bowlers are bowling a length allowing Yadav to hit shots.

“I think they didn’t plan propery against SKY. They should find a length and stick to it to stop Suryakumar. This is the only way to restrict him,” he said.

“Indian bowlers have done well in comparision to South Africa counterparts. The Proteas are bowling in that seventh and eighth length that gives him more time to see where the delivery is going to swing or go straight. South Africa bowlers need to identify the length that is important,” he added.
