“We would like to bowl first. We are excited to play against South Africa. It is a good batting track, but the dew will impact the game. We had a pre-tour of Sri Lanka, and the preparations have been good. It is a good experience to play in the World Cup,” Dilpreet Bajwa said.
South Africa skipper Aiden Markram is worried about the dew factor.
“It looks like a pretty good surface and hopefully we can get to a good start. We have quite a few games here, and the stadium is fantastic. The dew can make a difference. Looking forward to the start of the tournament for us. We are looking to make it to the Super 8, and that’s the focus now,” he said.
