South Africa Test players, including Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, have chosen IPL money over the country.

As a result, they will not participate in the home Test series against Bangladesh starting March 31.

The tour starts with three one-day internationals scheduled on March 18, 20, 23, respectively, where the top players will be available.

Earlier, the players were expected to miss the first week of IPL 2022 due to international matches.

However, ESPNcricinfo reported that Rabada, Ngidi, and Marco Jansen would miss the red-ball matches to be available for the cash-rich league from the first match of the tournament.

Rabada will represent Punjab Kings, while Jansen and Nagidi will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, respectively.

There is still no confirmation on the availability of Anrich Nortje, whom the Delhi Capitals retained.

Earlier, Test skipper Dean Elgar had called it a loyalty test for the IPL bound South Africa cricketers.
