In their final draft of the Future Tours Programme (FTP) for the 2023-2027 cycle, the ICC has approved the two-and-a-half-month window for the IPL.

South African cricketers have consistently impressed in the Indian Premier League. The IPL 2022 saw someone of the big names from the Rainbow Nation showcasing their talent.

Temba Bavuma, South Africa’s limited-overs captain, was happy to see players from his country in the league. He also wants to play and captain a team in the cash-rich league. The 32-year-old player is yet to make his debut in the tournament.

“I would like to play there. The stronger my performances, the more realistic the opportunity becomes. I have a dream of leading the team in IPL. I don’t know where that comes from, but I would like to get that experience as well. But first, I want to get into a team before that happens,” Bavuma told ESPNCricinfo.

David Miller played an important role for Gujarat Titans in their title-winning campaign. Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada were the other top performers.

Aiden Markram and Marco Jansen also made a mark, while the young Dewald Brevis impressed everyone.
