Australia are ahead in the World Test Championship final against India. They took lead of 173 runs after dismissing the Rohit Sharma-led team for 269 runs at the Oval in London.
Ajinkya Rahane (89) and Shardul Thakur (51) took India to a respectable total after the top order’s failure.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly roasted Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other top batters for their flop show with the bat.
“They showed to the dressing room that if you stay at the crease and have a little bit of luck then you will be able to score runs on this challenging track. Shardul was hit several times but he didn’t give up. This was a message to other batters in the team,” he said.
