Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Smriti Mandhana said that she didn’t hear what Virat Kohli was saying during their video call after the WPL 2024 final victory over Delhi Capitals.
Kohli had a chat with Smriti after RCB defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the final. However, she didn’t didn’t hear anything due to too much noise at the Arun Jaitley stadium.
Speaking at the press conference after the final, Mandhana said Kohli gave a thumbs up and looked happy after her team’s win against Delhi. The RCB captain remembered Virat’s pep talk.
She will meet Kohli in Bengaluru on March 19.
“I didn’t hear anything as it was too loud. He gave us thumbs up and looked happy because of our success. He came to meet us last year and his words helped me and other players as well. He has been with RCB for the last 15 years. I will meet him in Bengaluru on March 19 ,” said Mandhana.
She went back to the dressing room and sat there. Mandhana doesn’t like to celebrate like others.
“I went to the dressing room and sat. It is hard for me to celebrate like others. I think there is some defect in me.”
