David Miller has opened on the snake incident that stopped the game during the second T20I between India and South Africa.

South Africa invited India to bat first, which backfired as KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma added 96 runs in 9.5 overs. After their departure, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav stitched a partnership of 102 runs, which took the score to 237/3.

A snake entered the ground in the seventh over of the game, and the proceedings were stopped for a few minutes. The support staff removed the snake from the ground.

Miller, who scored a century in a losing cause, said it was out of their control, and it gave them some time to think about their bowling in the powerplay. The southpaw said many things were going on the pitch at the time.

“Such incidents are out of our control, and it gave us time to ponder on our bowling display. A lot of things happened on the pitch,” he said.

This was not the only incident, as floodlight failed during South Africa’s innings and the players got another break.
