His eight-wicket haul in the second Test match against England was one of the main reasons behind India's sensational victory at Lord's.

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj paid a heartfelt tribute to Virat Kohli after his sudden and shocking resignation from Test captaincy.

In a post on his Instagram account, Siraj shared pictures with Virat while playing for India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

He thanked his superhero and brother for believing in him even when he was not bowling at his best.

“To my superhero, I cannot thankful enough for the support and encourage I get from you. You have always been a great brother to me thank you for trusting in me and believing me all these years. Seeing the great at my worst. You always my captain king Kohli 👑 (sic)”

Siraj has become a world class bowler under Kohli’s leadership. He has been a part of IPL and has played a lot of cricket in Virat’s captaincy. The 27-year made his ODI and T20Is debut when the 33-year old was at the helm of affairs. Although he played his first Test in Ajinkya Rahane’s captaincy in Melbourne, some of his best performances have come under Virat’s tenure.

He has often credited Virat for his success in red-ball cricket.
