Shreyas Iyer, who was released by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the mega auction, is likely to join the Ahmedabad franchise as a captain for IPL 2022. Apart from him, former Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya could be the second signing of the team.
Apart from these two, the management is thinking of selecting one out of David Warner and Quinton de Kock, who were part of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, respectively, in IPL 2021.
