India stars Shreyas Iyer, Mithali Raj, and Deepti Sharma have been nominated by the ICC for the Players of the Month of February in the men’s and women’s cricketers.
In the women’s category, New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr, Indian stars Mithali Raj and all-rounder Deepti Sharma were nominated by the apex body of international cricket.
Shreyas Iyer was unstoppable and scored more than 200 runs in a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batter started the month with a well-compiled 80 runs against West Indies in the final ODI and a 16-ball 25 in the last T20I.
Dipendra Singh Airee of Nepal and Vriitya Aravind of UAE are the other two nominees in the men’s category.
Mithali Raj was among the few top performers for India in the ODI series against New Zealand. She was the highest run-getter for the Women in Blue and the second-highest overall with 232 runs, including three fifties.
She scored an unbeaten 54 in the final ODI, which India won, chasing 252. Deepti Sharma was brilliant as an all-rounder. She took 10 wickets and scored 116 runs in five matches against New Zealand.
