Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and India’s ace tennis star Sania Mirza have hogged the headlines for a while due to their turbulent married life.
The duo got married in 2010, and after 12 years of marriage, the couple is reportedly heading for a divorce. They have been living separately for a while. A few Pakistani media reports suggested that Shoaib Malik cheated on Sania and is in a relationship with one of the highest-paid Pakistani actresses, Ayesha Omar.
From the day the report was headlined in the media, fans in abundance trolled the 41-year-old Pakistani actress and accused her of ruining Shoaib and Sania’s marriage. After weeks of online abuse, Ayesha, during an Instagram session, responded to a fan’s question on whether she will get married to Shoaib or not.
Omar put the rumour mill to rest and said she has no intention of ruining a happily married couple and is just a good friend and well-wisher of Malik.
“No, not at all. I am not getting married to Shoaib. He is married and is happy with Sania. I am a good friend of both of them and respect them. I am Shoaib’s well-wisher, and relations like these also exist in the world.”
