Team India’s stand-in captain Shikhar Dhawan couldn’t get going as he was dismissed for 28 off 45 deliveries in the third ODI against New Zealand at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

He was trying to come down the wicket to disturb the line and length of a bowler but managed an inside edge on the ball of Adam Milne, which hit the stumps.

Fans were not happy with another failure and lambasted the player.

Here are some of the tweets

Dhawan plays only one format for the national team, and his performance in the last few series has been under the scanner.
