Team India player Shardul Thakur opened up on Virat's decision.

Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur was recently engaged in hilarious banter with KL Rahul, the newly-announced skipper of the Lucknow Super Giants, over the budget for him ahead of the mega auction for IPL 2022. And Yuzvendra Chahal won the conversation with an epic reply.

Shardul is heard asking Rahul, “How much is the budget for him?”. Rahul said that the franchise would offer him his base price. Chahal then says, “You do not have a budget for God,” referring to Shardul, who is known as Lord.

Lucknow is one of the two new teams joining the league from the upcoming edition of the tournament. Lucknow have signed KL Rahul for INR 17 crore, Marcus Stoinis for 9.2 crore and Ravi Bishnoi for INR 4 crore.

Shardul has been a part of Rising Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings. He was last associated with the MS Dhoni-led team and played a vital role in the franchise’s victory in 2021.
