Shamar Joseph
Shamar Joseph, West Indies’ pace spearhead and a fantasy goldmine.

Shamar Joseph has become a sensation after just two Test matches in international cricket. His seven-wicket bowling spell in the Gaba Test against Australia has made him a household name. He recently signed a contract with PSL and IPL franchises.

He went past the challenge of Ollie Pope and Josh Hazlewood to claim the Player of the Month award for January 2024.

It didn’t take long for Joseph to leave a lasting impression. He took Steve Smith’s wicket on his first delivery in Test cricket. The 24-year-old revived the memories of the threatening fast bowlers of West Indies of past.

Joseph dismissed four other Australian batters to register sensational figures of 5-94 in his first Test appearance in Adelaide and accumulated 36 and 15 with the bat.

Joseph went one step further during the West Indies’ memorable win over Australia in the second Test in Brisbane. He took 7 for 68 that helped the Caribbean side to win their first Test in Australia since 1997.

In two Tests, Joseph has amassed 57 runs at an average of 28.50, having also taken 13 wickets at an average of 17.30.

He was signed by Lucknow Super Giants as replacement player for Mark Wood. Shamar Joseph will get INR 3 crore to play in IPL 2024.

The pacer was given a contract by Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 2024.
