Former player Shahid Afridi was unhappy with Pakistan’s performance against India in the Asia Cup 2023.
Rohit Sharma’s team defeated the Men in Green by 228 runs in the Super-Four clash of the Continental Cup.
India posted 356/2 in 50 overs, with landmark hundreds coming from the bats of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill had slammed fifties. Chasing 357, Pakistan lost regular wickets and managed just 128/8.
Afridi also congratulated Kohli for his 47th hundred in one-day internationals.
“Winning/losing is part of competing, but not putting up a fight, not showing intent to win is just poor. Exactly what I was referring to in my previous tweet.India played as #1 on the field, batting & bowling. Congrats @imVkohli on achieving another dream milestone of ODI runs and well-crafted 💯 by you and KL RahulChin up boys, you can do better than this, next match #PakvsInd,” he wrote.
India will play clash with Sri Lanka on September 12 in Colombo.
