Pakistan players are banned from participating in the Indian Premier League. The players from the neighbouring country played in the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2008 but attack on Mumbai by terrorists from Pakistan resulted in blanket ban.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is blessed with the leading superstars of T20 format, who are often asked about the best T20 league in the world. Shaheen Afridi, the leading speedster of the rival country, is the latest cricketer to give his opinion on IPL.

He was asked about the possibility of playing in the T20 competition of India in future.

“Playing for your country is the proudest moment for any cricketer and so my priority is always my Pakistan. Playing all three formats for your country and then PSL is enough for me right now.”
