The world is celebrating the 7th International Yoga Day on Monday and many legendary Indian cricketers took to social media to explain the benefits of Yoga.

The players also shared some of the glimpses of their daily Yoga routine and inspired everyone to include the same in their regular activities.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, former India batsman Virender Sehwag highlighted that Yoga and meditation are two of the remarkable gifts given by India to the rest of the world.

“Standing on my own altar. The poses are my Prayers. Yoga and meditation is one of the most remarkable gift given by India to the rest of the world. Happy #InternationalDayOfYoga,” Sehwag tweeted.

On the occasion, Suresh Raina also posted a couple of pictures of himself performing Yoga aasanas along with his daughter.

Sharing the photos, Raina wrote, “On this #InternationalDayOfYoga let’s indulge in the harmony of nature, uniting the mind & body, thoughts & actions. It’s a reminder for all of us to include yoga in our everyday routine & involve the younger generations too for a holistic approach to health & well-being.”

Besides Raina and Sehwag, many other veteran cricketers, including the likes of VVS Laxman and Pragyan Ojha also extended their wishes on the Yoga Day and urged the countrymen to stay fit and healthy.
