“We will have a bowl as the wicket is good. The outfield is fast, and it will be hard to defend. We are excited to play in the World Cup, and it is time to give our best. We haven’t had the luxury of playing as a team for a long time. We started preparing two weeks ago,” Wayne Madsen said.
Scotland skipper Richie Berrington is happy to bat first.
“We are happy to bat first. The surface is good, and hopefully we can put a big total on the board. We had a lot of positives from the last game against the West Indies, but we need to improve a few things. Italy are a good team and expect it to be a good contest. Our focus is on the strengths and what we can do well as a team,” he said.
