Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two superstars of Indian cricket. They have scripted many records across formats in international cricket.
While Kohli has been among runs for almost a decade, Rohit took his time to get off the blocks in his career. The Kohli vs Rohit debate is nothing new, and the fans love taking sides.
Sharing his views on the matter, BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal said the board doesn’t differentiate between the two as both are important to Indian cricket.
“We never think about it. It is the fans who drive the debate. We saw the same with Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev, or later between Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar. People keep on coming with such topics on social media,” Dhumal told veteran journalist Vimal Kumar.
Rohit and Kohli have batted together in 82 innings and scored 4914 runs at an average of 63.81. They have stitched 18 century and 15 fifty partnerships.
