Mumbai’s golden man Sarfaraz Khan, who is in the form of his life, is likely to be rewarded with his maiden India call-up soon. As per reports, the 24-year-old is set to be picked up for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh in November.

He averages 81.06 in the domestic circuit and has been in hot form for two years. Khan has amassed over 900 runs this term, including four centuries and two half-centuries.

Sarfaraz’s performance speaks volumes about the potential he possesses. With more than 900 runs this season and the 2019-20 season, he became the third player in the competition’s history to score 900+ runs twice, other being Wasim Jaffer and Ajay Sharma.

“It’s impossible to overlook him now. His performances speak about his huge ability and are putting pressure on many in the Indian team. He will be certain when the selectors pick the Indian team for the Bangladesh Test series. He did well for India A last year in South Arica, and he’s an excellent fielder,” a BCCI insider was quoted by the Times of India.

The player is receiving praise from the media and the fans. Madan Lal was one of the first experts to point out Sarfaraz’s exclusion from the Indian team and lashed out at the selectors for ignoring him.

Plus, his inclusion in the team could prove to be a solution for the No.5 position in Test. The No.5 position has been a problem for India since Ajinkya Rahane’s dip in form. Now, with Rahane out of the team, it seems like a perfect opportunity for the youngster.
