Sarfaraz Ahmed took to Twitter to slam a female journalist.

Pakistan’s defeat to India exposed significant gaps within the team. Experts and analysts showed no mercy in pointing out the errors made by the Men in Green, and one of them was about not learning from India’s mistake of maintaining the over rate.

Both the teams failed to complete their overs in time and had to play the final three overs with four fielders outside the 30-yard circle. An extra fielder inside the circle cost Pakistan the match.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed took to Twitter to slam a female journalist who, in her show, bashed skipper Babar Azam for placing a fielder less outside the 30-yard circle in the last three overs.

Ahmed tweeted, “Pak had the disadvantage after 17th over 5 fielders were inside the circle cuz of slow over rate & 1 of the so-called female journalist on national TV bashing Pakistan team after a fighting match & saying na run Karte hai na catch pakarte hai kamal hai bhi.”

Ahmed reasoned the cramps suffered by pacers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf disturbed Pakistan’s over-rate. He expressed his displeasure over the criticism the team is receiving despite giving a tough fight. He called the lady a ‘so-called ‘journalist but didn’t reveal her identity.

Although, to Sarfaraz’s surprise, he faced fans’ heat who pointed out that one of Babar’s responsibilities as a captain was to keep the over rate in check.

Meanwhile, a section of fans reminded the former Pakistan captain that it was Pakistan’s fault if they couldn’t even learn from India’s mistake in 1st innings.

Here are some of the fans’ reactions.

Although, there was one fan who extended his support to Sarfaraz.
